Astrology works! The question that bothers modern enthusiasts is not 'Does astrology work?', but 'Why, or how, astrology works?'
 
The simplest understanding is that astrology works because we, the humans, have evolved in a manner that makes astrology work! As we recall our entire evolution process, how life began on Earth - it is all about the perfect environment that our planet Earth provides that makes life possible. And as we have evolved through a natural process, by utilizing the optimal resources that our planet provides - we have evolved to perfectly fit Earth's environment. In other words, humans and millions of other species, have evolved to live on this planet Earth and no other planet.
 
We can walk with ease on Earth, not on Moon or any other nearby planets. The same stands for breathing, speaking, and even scratching. Our evolution process has perfected us for Earth - from the range of temperatures that we can survive in, to our internal temperature, to the kind of food and air that we need to survive - the human body has been optimized "for" Earth. In outer space, we cannot even cry if we are sad!
 
And throughout our evolution, the gravitational pulls of other planets have played as much a role, as the gravitational pull of the Earth itself. Our planet itself is governed by the laws of attraction of the Solar System, and its immediate system - from day to night, to seasonal changes, have all played a vital role in our evolution process for millions of years.
 
In other words, we have been optimally designed to survive on Earth, and hardwired to accomodate the laws of attraction of the Solar System.
 
Escalation of arthritis pain during a full moon, is a simple example of how human bodies are affected by changes in barometric pressure, weather expression, and the ambient electromagnetic environment influenced by the lunar cycle (or for that matter, the solar cycle too).
 
Astrology takes into account the impact on specific parts of human brain (and body) for each celestial body that has specific and direct role in an individual's character and behaviour. Through centuries of observations, research, and trials - this field of study estimates the possible terrestial events that a person may encounter, based on the "emotions at play" due to planetary pulls.
 
Astrology is thus, an art of back-calculations. The planetary movements are studied to estimate a change in human emotion or behaviour, which is used the estimate a possible reason or event that may cause this change in human emotion or behaviour.
 
Therefore, all astrological studies consider Earth at the center, and observes the movement of the other planets as observed from Earth.
 
Observations, estimates and predictions, are based on positions and transits of other planets, and their geometrical relationships with respect to Earth.
 
Modern science does not deny the gravitational impact of other planets on Earth, on humans, and on evolution of humans - but astrology takes it deeper into belief and recognizes each planet's impact based on centuries of observation, research, and trials. This is what makes astrology a pseudo-science.
 
This is also the reason why astrology never compels. We may dream, hear, read, or even watch a movie to experience the emotions at play. It is about feeling the emotions, and not necessarily acting them out.
